The Film Festival

I guess it's finally over.
After all the anger, frustration, whining on this blog, I guess my sense of pride and responsibility got the better of me, and I stuck on until the end of the Chinese film Festival, as I have originally agreed.
And besides whatever I have whined on this site, I have actually learnt a lot of things. I made many mistakes, and I hope I learnt from them.
At the end of the day, I must say I am quite impress with the way my boss handle the whole thing. Granted, she wasn't ideal (that's somewhat a rhetoric; no one is perfect), and she is more demanding than other bosses that I had, but she is very clear and persistent on what she wants to archieve. Sometime to the point of ridicule. But then without putting so much unrelenting pressure on her staff (in this case, me), we might not be able to achieve certain things.
I wonder whether it is necessary to be so... "ruthless" to be a successful boss. Maybe ruthless is not the right word. I guess it's closer to "fanatical demanding". In any case, I learnt a thing or two about being a boss and a business person. i am not so sure I want to be one, but if I need to be, at least I have some reference.
What is the definition of success? What is the meaning of achievement? After the next two days, I might have more time to think about it. Can solving this question an achievement by itself?
